Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 2, 2026

The Lift League respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how The Lift League collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use The Lift League mobile app and website.

Information We Collect

The Lift League may collect the following types of information:

Account Information

When you create an account or sign in, we may collect information such as your email address, display name, profile image, and authentication provider information.

If you sign in with Google, The Lift League may receive basic account information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile photo, depending on the permissions you approve.

Profile and App Information

The Lift League may collect information you choose to add to your profile, such as your display name, profile image, preferred training style, favorite block, progress photos, check-ins, and other profile or progress details.

Workout and Training Data

The Lift League stores workout-related data that you enter or generate while using the app. This may include selected training blocks, workout history, logged lifts, reps, weights, scores, badges, progress totals, block summaries, and other training statistics.

Photos and User Content

If you upload profile images, progress photos, check-ins, or other content, The Lift League may store that content so it can be shown in the app according to your settings and app features.

Device, Performance, and Diagnostic Information

The Lift League may collect device and diagnostic information to help maintain app stability, investigate crashes, prevent abuse, and improve performance. This may include crash logs, device type, operating system version, app version, timestamps, and related technical information.

Notifications

The Lift League uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to provide optional notifications about Training Circle activity, including when another user adds you to their Training Circle or gives Props to your activity. To provide these notifications, The Lift League may store your notification preference, a device messaging token, delivery status, and limited notification details such as the participating users and the related activity.

Device messaging tokens are private technical credentials used for delivery. They are not displayed in profiles, Training Circle feeds, or other public app surfaces.

How We Use Information

The Lift League uses collected information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • provide workout logging, training blocks, scoring, badges, stats, profiles, and app features;
  • save your progress and training history;
  • show profile and progress information according to your app settings;
  • provide Training Circle features, Props, and optional notifications;
  • improve app performance, reliability, and security;
  • diagnose crashes and technical issues;
  • prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access;
  • comply with legal, security, and platform requirements.

How Information Is Stored

Some app data may be stored locally on your device. Some account, profile, training, image, and app data may be stored using cloud services, including Firebase services provided by Google.

The Lift League may use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, Firebase App Check, and related services where needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.

Sharing of Information

The Lift League does not sell your personal information.

We may share or process information with service providers that help operate the app, including cloud hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, and security providers. These providers process information as needed to provide their services.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of The Lift League or others, to investigate abuse or security issues, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Public and Shared Features

Some app features may allow information to be visible to other users, such as public profiles, leaderboards, timeline entries, check-ins, badges, Training Circle activity, or other social/progress features.

The visibility of certain information may depend on your privacy settings and app feature settings. You should only upload or share content that you are comfortable making visible within the app according to those settings.

When you give Props, the recipient can privately see your display name and approved profile image, if available, and may see which activity received Props. Other users do not see who gave Props, and The Lift League does not display public Props totals or giver lists.

When you add someone to your Training Circle, that person may receive a private notification identifying you. Training Circle membership lists and counts remain private to the person who created the Circle and are not displayed publicly.

Data Retention

The Lift League keeps information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, improve security, and operate app features.

If you delete your account or request deletion, The Lift League will delete or de-identify information where reasonably possible, unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, backup, or legitimate business purposes.

Your Choices

You may update certain profile information, privacy settings, notification settings, and app preferences inside the app. Turning notifications off stops future push delivery but does not remove Training Circle relationships, Props, or notification records already delivered to your private inbox.

You can also control certain permissions through your device settings, such as notification permissions or photo access.

Account and Data Deletion

You may request account or data deletion by contacting us at:

support@theliftleague.com

Please include enough information for us to identify your account and process the request. We may need to verify your identity before deleting account data.

Children’s Privacy

The Lift League is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Security

The Lift League uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

The Lift League may use third-party services, including Google Firebase services, authentication providers, analytics providers, crash reporting tools, app store services, and other infrastructure providers. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
